I’m a father, high school teacher, and a guy who writes. I was never supposed to. I never really learned how. Somehow, it’s become a part of who I am, and I need it.

An American in Colombia sees more kindness from the French and Colombians than he has ever seen back at home. As he watches his marriage and health unravel, he records it all on his phone. With his thumb, on airplanes and in hotel rooms, he writes this story. Hawtorn V. Rabot is a father, teacher, and traveler. He’s spent over fifteen years with students most others gave up on. This is his first book.
